Wonderful collection of short stories set in the West. The Coen Brothers delivered another great American Movie. The first, Ballad of Buster Scruggs, is a top notch comedy. The second is also a comedy of a bank robbery. The third was dark, with a armless and legless actor being taken from town to town while performing on stage. It is titled "Meal Ticket" and it does reflect the differences between art and showmanship. The fourth was a journey into untouched lands in the search for gold by an old prospectors. The fifth was "The Woman Rattled". It was not a comedy, but defiantly a tragedy with not a lot of humor. The last was the darkest, souls in route to their final destination in "The Mortal Remains". Look at the decorations of the door to the hotel. I could not make out the name painted on the window, but i could swear it read "Hotel Purgetory".
Watch it. It is good writing and acting by top named actors. I plan to watch it again.
