Dialogue: it's a simplistic, unrealistic and almost comic book style. Nobody in that world talks that those characters.
Production: as with so many series now, it cuts costs to the bare bone beyond hiring a star lead, Knightly. Way too much "talk," save a dimly-lit fight seen allowing for Knightly to exploit computer-enhancement to suddenly become nearly super-human. Knightly is a fine actor but she's no ex-special forces operative.
Ultimately, a core element of this series is the extensive, blatant gayness between Knightly's collaborators. If you like that sort of thing you may find it acceptable, but if you don't then you could find it disgusting. Perhaps the normalization of that behavior is the point of this disappointing series.
