This movie was promising but was just a movie made on flashbacks and unexplained plot holes. This movie was not scary what's so ever and made on gore and cursing. What is the point of adding characters like the drug addict and the cops girlfriend? They even had the cop and the drug dealer beefing over the cop losing his job because he punched him for getting poked with a needle. What does that even have to do with 17 kids going missing? Why was there and affair between the cop and his girlfriend and what did that have to do with anything? Another aspect of the film that takes a lot away from the movie are plot holes.
1. What does the tree do and what is the purpose of it?
2. How and why did the aunt get sick?
3. What does taking the kids and the aunt visiting make the aunt better???
4. What is the aunt is she a clown or is she a witch?
5. Why do we need to see the cops girlfriend beating the teachers ass?
6. What was the point of the bell and how is it used?
7. Why is the movie focusing on small details like putting the bozo old woman in the forest with the druggie, the affair, feeding the parents and kids soup (and where did he get the money from) and what was the purpose of the triangle of the number 6???
8. Why is the movie called weapons? Are the kids weapons? Is the aunt a weapon?
9. What is the purpose of the kids running with their arms like that?
10. Why do all the characters eyes suddenly bulge out of their head like they have thyroid eye disease? What is the purpose of that?
11. Why and how is the guy puking black liquid on to his husband?
12. What does 2:17 AM have to do with anything?
13. Who's is the narrator?
I am truly disappointed to go to the movies all the time for a lot of movies and leaving the theater and saying "wow, that was a crappie movie." We need to do better! Directors need to have better common sense and need to be good and Language Arts!
