In Order of Disappearance was a much better presentation of the story.
It has a more intense and vibrant setting. The Rockies are majestic, but can't hold a candle to northern Norway in winter as a harsh land requiring strong people to survive.
The actors portraying the main characters do not carry the violent cachet that Liam Neeson has developed and honed over the years. This makes them much more sympathetic and believable. It also makes the response, and success, of the main character to his son's murder even more shocking.
