The actors and story in this film are highly appealing. They bring human dimensions to a world war 2 story that has mystery, romance, and drama. Lily James and Christopher Plummer are brilliant in their roles; Jaí Courtney makes The Exception a realistic humanitarian German soldier a worthy love interest. It’s astonishing that so many German people subscribed to the hollow and insane perspectives that Hitler brought to Germany. We ought not forget. This, Historic pieces interest me, and this one is stellar for filling in some details of the deposed German Monarchy. A worthwhile film indeed.
