Haven't had this much fun watching a series for a long time! Not at all what I expected and so much better. Sure, nothing is ever 100% true – it's the movies, people – but there is enough here to make us wonder what is true because, if even a third of this saga is true, it's stunning that "The Godfather" was ever made, let alone stay true to Coppola's vision. "The Godfather" made characters like Walter White possible. When Al Ruddy tells Bluhdorn, "I'm going to make an ice-blue, terrifying film about people you love," it was the beginning of an American film genre that created the Whites and Tony Sopranos that we loved, even as we watched them corrode until all we could do was morn. Wanted to binge the entire limited series.
