Sidney Higgins

Bye Bye Blackbird is a graceful, comforting, and intriguing novel following the lives of a family facing cultural cultural changes following WWI. The writing is terrific! The characters are developed over time and transitions. They are optimistic and hopeful people, loyal to each other, even when facing the loss of family members. I recommend this novel for the characters, as well as a look at the forces of change in that time period. I hope for a sequel.
