The original is a classic. So I figured with the time to really flush out the concept for the movie, it should equal it being great! I was wrong. Overall it seemed like a hodgepodge of ideas thrown together and then trimmed down to fit a time window. While the movie was definitely fun at times, ultimately it was kind of an let down. I think Burton should've stretched these stories into 2 movies with more time to flush out the plots. I also couldn't shake the feeling of it being a dropout YouTube parody but lengthened.
