Been to see both Barbie and Oppenheimer today and I can honestly say Barbie blew me away. Yes, there is a big section that's anti-patriarchy, but it's not anti-men or misandrist. It talks about depression and anxiety and death in a way that's relatable to everyone. In fact, I'd argue the main message at the end of the movie (done by song and dance number) is that it's ok to be a man (or a woman, or whoever you want to be) . The jokes in it are aimed at adults, the joke about the gyn is a good example of this, as are the "beach off" jokes. I wholeheartedly reccomend this movie to anyone who is even a little bit curious. It's good for a lot of laughs, but also I did cry a little at the very end so maybe pack some tissues.
