On last episode of the first season... It has good acting and interesting character and plot lines. However this is no where near the real story of the real El Chapo. Instead of creating real gang drama and expose corrupt officials, and allow viewers to see the real El Chapo for a dangerous, cunning, ruthless and clever drug lord, they almost turned this into an not-so-innocent man who was framed and mistreated and used by everyone around him.
During first season El Chapo spent the first half of the season being mistreated by his boss, bullied by his fellow drug lords, hunted by the DEA and the Mexico officials, and got his best friend killed by rival cartels... seemingly struggling to make a living selling drug. And he spent the second half of season one crawl up crying in fetal position inside a Mexico prison.... really? REALLY? This is the dude who ran the largest drug smuggling organization in Mexico WHILE HE WAS IN ALMOLOYA for crying out loud!
Maybe the producers worry that if they show who El Chapo really is, his men might sent killers after their families?
