Looking at the world built, the story, the missions, side quests, and the general gameplay loop, Cyberpunk is a great game. It has a lot of heart and you can tell the developers put a lot into it. To address the elephant: does it have performance issues on older gen hardware - yes. That being said, I played my entire first round of the game on a first gen Xbox One console and got through it with no major issues. There was plenty of slowdown and graphical glitches (admittedly) and my game early on crashed twice (and some hilarious collision issues that sent my flying across the screen). That being said, I never found it so distracting I couldn't or didn't want to continue. I've now gotten a Series X and it does look far more polished and runs smooth as silk. CDPR should have been more upfront to gamers on the issues on older platforms because they have a fantastic game that I hope can continue as a franchise.
