I think 4 stars is good. If the movie was ONLY on part 2, it would probably have earned a 5 star rating from me. The tributes were all phenomenal actors, and unlike the 74th and 75th hunger games, nearly every single one of them had awful and tragic deaths. It was like Rue all over again (for me) at least 7 TIMES! There was even a little girl with Down syndrome in there… my heart could not take it. Really encapsulates the cruelty we all are capable of Part 3 was straight up boring though. This movie would have been so much better if we could hear Snow’s thoughts. It had a good ending though (if you ignore the lack of buildup) (Mild spoiler alert) A lot of details were altered. I wish the movie would have shown Sejanus’ mother more than once to build up his last words, for example. It was plot after plot after plot with no real juice in the middle. Why even was Lucy Gray so attached to Jessup? Snow had a great actor, but Lucy Gray’s? Her singing gimmick was cringier than I expected; her actors did not do this character any favors. Her acting was on par with that of a musical’s. Actually, this movie was basically a musical LOL
