Emotional blockbuster with Bete Davis in superb form as a lady coming to grips with the fact she has a brain tumour and only so long to live. She sadly says goodbye to her loved ones and the man she would have married. Great supporting cast.

Plenty of glamour with Hepburn and of course impeccable dancing from Astaire. Quite a lot of humour is blended into the story plus shots of Paris. So if you are fed up with the banal performances of TV give yourself a treat with this classic. Very good colour too.

This is a classic period drama set at the end of world War 2. It can be watched on different levels: the charm of the period settings and the period manners/attitudes of that time. Of course the main charm of the film is the superb acting of Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard as they embark on an unplanned romance; and how they deal with the social restraints of that period. All set ..mostly..in a period railway station bar.

A bit laboured story with Fred Astaire as a psychiatrist and Ginger Rogers as patient. Not on the same level as Top Hat or Shall we Dance.
A bit silly really although it does have one or two memorable songs.Y
