My children loved the original episodes, and I found myself drawn into it due to its simple fictional superhero troupes, whilst also incorporating a love twist with complications. However you can tell once Disney and American money started to get injected into it, as the story and character development was destroyed to push modern political views and dumbing down of themes and storylines. It's a shame as it destroyed what could have been a future proof franchise. This film epitomises this unfortunately, and tries to sell it as another unnecessary musical whilst destroying anything established by the original series. Yet another example of messing with a successful formula and 'americanising' it to tick boxes, rather than entertain!
