This title is, conservatively, an OK gaming experience. The visuals (graphics) are pretty alluring, but the overall level and character design gets abrasive after awhile (repetitive, contrived, dull). The story begins with an interesting and intriguing premise, but the presentation and execution eventually turns lackluster, slow, simplistic, unexplored, and derivative. However, there's a good teaser (cliffhanger) at the end. Character development is entrenched, rote, and unimpressive, even though some of the subject matter covered is of a serious and intriguing nature; the developers probably aimed to cover the broadest audience. As a whole, the game is a one-time play affair - likelihood of replayability is very low.

People who are giving this game a low rating are callow, confused, and developmentally arrested individuals who have a problem understanding how constructive and analytical critique functions. The game is a masterpiece; the story is original, very interesting, thought-provoking, and verges upon being interactive literature. The presentation of the storyline is refreshing with a dual-perspective character experience. Characters are well developed and believable; highly curated work. The gameplay is astounding, being polished and refined, and achieves in immersing the player profoundly. Level and character design is very appealing and intriguing. Overall, game-development clearly abided with the notion of quality control. The Last of Us Part II is a masterpiece, a classic, and a benchmark title.

The game is a confused mess; there are both open and linear levels, which are integrated to varying degrees, but that are uninspired and forgettable. The story is unoriginal, callow, and just atrocious (lowbrow sci-fi). The weapons (human) look realistic enough, and sound satisfyingly. The graphics are great, but it gets dragged down by what the game lacks overall. The gameplay is not conducive to prolonged enjoyment as it moves abruptly from lackluster levels, and away from accessible - or desirable -experimentation. Overall design, presentation, and execution is mediocre at best (don't expect anything memorable). So much potential was lost here.
