This book is, in my opinion, irresponsible. I think it is great that resources are being made available to support the family and friends who surround those with mental health disorders. Personality disorders are uniquely challenging. However, this book does not adequately explain the biosocial theory that illustrates what BPD is caused by, how it feels to the person who is afflicted by it, and the true intentions behind the maladaptive behaviours. This book, while empathizing with the bystanders of BPD, criminalizes those who have it. If this is the only resource a person had to understand BPD, they would be sadly misinformed.
