I tracked down an old copy of Brainjoy as part of the 2022 commitment to NZ fiction. It's brilliant. So much so I kept forgetting it was part of my NZ fiction commitment because it would have been totally in keeping with my general science fiction commitment. Chris Else has just become one of my new favourite authors.
