Leagues better than Batman v Superman. Unfortunately you'll have to watch half of the film just to get to anything actually good.
4 hours in length, the first half is a near mess. Flash is an unlikable comic relief and Aquaman an unlikable "cool guy". Some things just don't make sense. Especially if you've seen Aquaman and Wonder Woman.
But once you get past all that. Past the bad jokes of Barry Allen. Past three slo-mo music scenes that are so on your nose it might just break it. Past a weird Amazon fight. When the story is finally going at a great pace, it'll almost be worth it. They start acting like a team. They talk with each other rather than at. The story is engaging. Characters are much more likable. The ending to the final boss fight was pretty amazing.
However, as great as the final half of the film, it doesn't really excuse the first. Not to mention three final scenes/cliff hangers, just to lure you into thinking they have any real ideas for an extended universe. If they plan on making any more films they really need to take a page from Marvels handbook: plan it out first.
3/5
As a Batman fan, I'm glad he was actually sorta sane this time around. But for Pete's sake... change that cowl. Its terrible.
