I loved this book. Each character had their own battles and their own conflict that they had to overcome. As a poc (person of color) I have also immigrated with my family to the us but I was blessed enough to not go through what they did. Each story had their own plot and it was kind of setting a perspective for the fortunate people of how the unfortunate people had to face their life’s biggest hardship. Although being a different plot in each story, the author tied it all together perfectly and no matter how much I tried to hold my tears I couldn’t because of how much poc have to go through just to get the rights that they deserve.
