A lot of people don't like this film, but I loved it. It follows the book written about them (based on countless interviews and diaries and their creative writing). The weirdness of it is true to their inner world. I don't know that there is an explanation, other than the claustrophobically close twin relationship each felt trapped in. Also, their isolation as two black twins in Wales. I found it quite haunting. They retreat into their own world and get stuck there.
