We chose the Darling hotel for the pool and the rooftop lounge. The day before our trip they texted me to tell us that the pool will be closed to hotel guests because they rented it out for a private party. We didn’t have time to book anything else especially when we were traveling with a group of friends who are also staying there. We were all disappointed that the pool was closed. Then after we attended our event we went up to the lounge only to see it closed. We are Very disappointed in the lack communication and the rude disregard for the amenities that were denied. We paid top dollar to stay at suposidly the best place and we got the best room…paid $371 for one night and we didn’t even get to use the pool. The staff was rude and dismissive with us. They just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry too bad. No offer of a discount or anything. The only reason I leave 2 stars is that the rooms were clean and the breakfast was good.
