Visuals are lovely (cheers to the cinematography) but the script and music are jarring (whoever did the music has cut their teeth on Home & Away). Disappointing take on the book. Gives away the mysteries in flashbacks, changes characters and motivations and softens the media storm that became frantic in the book. Sanitises some of the more horrific elements. Hard to know if the acting is good as the script is so bad. Worth watching so long as you haven’t read the book.
