It was a brilliant series. The acting was pitched perfectly as were the speech patterns. The Scots actors were genuinely Scottish - you can tell when the English in particular try to put on a Scottish accent. It reminded me of an earlier gem that captured Scottish humour to perfection: the series, Rab C. Nebitt.
