I just finished reading Reid's ''The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo'' & let me warn you, it is breathtaking (i literally mean it).
Honestly, even after completing the book am i speechless, numb &
melancholic. I was turning pages to catch up lines like insane. Chapter by chapter it captivates you, hooks you to itself & leaves you drowning into it forever. There is no turning back once you start reading the book.
Evelyn Hugo is not just a fictional character, she is so much more. At some point you hate her, & then you pity her, you feel enthralled with her glory & then suddenly you question her choices. She has so many shades to her personality. She leaves you teary eyes.
Throughout each chapter, you question yourself, whether i hate her or i love her, or do i want to criticise her or just step into her world & fix things for her.
It is such a complicated book. Every chapter is impeccable & has the power to deliver its reader a vivid experience.
I am glad I came across this book, because the kind of emotions I am feeling right now, every person who enjoys literature deserves to feel.
Evelyn Hugo is going to stay in me forever.
