Dark Matter - Blake Crouch It was an awesome read ! An incredibly unique page turner. A parallel universe where our decisions are different. It thrills and horrifies me at the same time and intrigues me with many questions. Now What? The book leaves me thinking... Do I proceed with my daily chores like nothing happened...? What if there is a multiverse just like the book...?? What decisions of mine would have changed...??? To sum up !! The decisions we have taken in this verse is for a reason. Life's short... Nurture the decisions taken now.. You never know when your Jason2 might be willing to take over your place in this verse and play even a better role in your life that your family admires them... Addictive Fast Paced Read!!! Happy Reading!! 📖

After a very long gap, I read this book.... It was interesting and captivating.... Although the story was quite predictable, the book made me finish on one go!! A typical Kollywood love story with rivalry between two kingdoms.... 😁👍

The Immortals of Meluha - Amish Beautiful narration... Very Gripping... Increases the curiosity to read the sequel.... I remember I had started the book during 2013 and abandoned.... & I feel delighted to get hold of it atlast... Happy Reading!!

First thriller genres of Chetan I've tried.... Quite Interesting... I liked Chetan's style of mentioning interesting places... I googled about the Amritsar Kulchian wala and also asked my hubby to take me to the golden temple and also to the kulchian walas 😋😬 Somehow I felt the story to be too predictable....📖 Murderer... Purpose of the murder.... One-Time-Read 👍

Legend of Suheldev - Amish "WOW!!" - The first word that I uttered on finishing the book. This was my first book of Amish's & I must admit it was totally worth my time. I could feel the rush of mixed emotions... patriotism & love for Maa Bhaarati!! The book deals with the Indian king who avenges his brother's death while safeguarding the Somnath Temple from Mahmud Ghazini... He is believed to have gathered rulers & tribes from all over India to resist the invaders. I would emphasize I had the chance to learn a lot from this book... 1) The Legendary Hero 2) War front Ideologies 3) A new respect for the Muslims who had fought for the country along with Suheldev 4) Love!!! Hate!!!! Deceit!!!!! I was overwhelmed with joy when the Chola king Rajendra Chozhan was mentioned as "The Mighty King" & especially when I read the words " வீரவேல்!" " வெற்றிவேல்!" 💪 It's beautifully described by Amish as a collective effort... {I felt a sense of gratitude when I read the news " PM Narendra Modi to lay foundation stone for Maharaja Suheldev memorial in UP" Feb 16, 2021 on the occasion of his birth anniversary. ---- & this memorial site will definitely be in my bucket list of places to visit...} It surely is an Inspirational Story !!! Do Read the Book !! It's completely gripping and unputdownable!!! I'm a slow reader & I myself finished this book before a week's time!!! 🤩 Admirable Effort by Amish!! ✨✨✨✨✨ Semmma Goosebumps!!!!! Expecting a sequel!!!🤩🤩 பாரத தாய் வாழ்க!!! 🙏

An excellent thriller by the debut novelist. I felt trapped in the story and had the digil moment from the starting of the book... The places mentioned from Chennai brought a treasured connectivity❤️ as it's my native 😜... Also not too miss the names referred were just like an acquaintance... Simple and Easy to read book for a beginner... The unexpected twists in the book was riveting.... How much ever you think I'm sure you can never figure out the miscreant of the plot...!!! Good Luck!! Challenge accepted 👍😁 Let's wait and watch if Mitra becomes a successful director and takes her debut movie with this perfect story suitable for any Kollywood peipadam lover... 🤠😜 Great work by Deepti Srivatsan..👍 Awaiting the next book.... 😀

The Tree Bears Witness: (A Birbal Story) - SHARATH KOMARRAJU This is my first novel of the writer... & I must admit its very well crafted.... The book deals with the Murder of Sujjamal Bhaisaab... & the Mystery being solved by our all time favorite courtier BIRBAL... The writer leads the readers to the dark paths all the while keeping the guessing on as to Who is ACTUALLY the Murderer??? Or Was it a Suicide???? Thus begins the complexity of the plot... ∆ The story was interesting & unpredictable.... ∆ It moved along slowly with minute details and was in appropriate length for the genre.... ∆ The characters live through the entire story... (As a fun fact I was imagining Sonu Sood through out the book in Sujjamal Bhaisaab...😁 ) I would recommed this book for everyone who have fetish for courtroom dramas.... Add this book on your bucket list... I'm sure you won't regret!!! 📚 Happy Reading!!! 👍🏻

Sitayan!! Kaikeyi, Ahalya, Surpanakha, Mandodari, Urmila... For there is no Sitayan without these women.... I felt a sense of void after reading this book actually.... Same agitation I had of how could Ram banish Sita..??. Did Sita forgive Ram...?? Etc etc... But I could learn lot of valuable lessons from the story... Very beautifully described.... Kaikeyi : who wrested Ram's throne for her son only to be hated by him.... Its not enough to merely love someone... We must understand and respect the values that drive them.... We must want what they want, not what we want for them... Ahalya : her beauty turned in to stone by husband's fury... Once mistrust has wounded it mortally, love can't be fully healed again... Surpanakha : whose only crime was to desire the wrong man... Mandodari : forced to watch the fall of her husband ( the legendary demon) and the kingdom.... Just coz of his lust.... Urmila : the forgotten sister of Sita *( U can read Sita's sister by kavita kane to perceive story from her point of view..... P.S. I loved it ) The book describes the various tests and endurance Sita had to face.... How she was misjudged... Misunderstood... I felt a deep sorrow on finishing this book.... And all I learnt from this book was that even the divine Ram and Sita could not lead a peaceful life by listening to what people will say...? Glad by our period kishore kumar has sung a beautiful melody..... Kuchh to log kahenge logon ka kaam hai kehnaa Chhodo bekaar ki baaton mein kaheen beet na jaaye rainaa Kuchh reet jagat ki aisi hai har ek subah ki shaam hui.. Tu kaun hai tera naam hai kya SITA bhi yahaan badnaam huyi Phir kyon sansaar ki baaton se, bheeg gaye tere naina...... On the whole the book was beautifully written capturing the essence of Sita's feelings... Do give a try!!

Vanara- Anand Neelakantan The book was a very fast paced painful book that I finished with a heavy heart, feeling empathetic towards Tara. This is my second book of Anand Neelakantan after Asura & I liked his narrative style showing the alternate side of the story through a different perspective. I admired the way he had portrayed Bali, Sughreeva & Tara's confused emotions beautifully. The end showing a deep sense of loss. One negativity in the book was it was offending in many scenarios as I felt he had been targeting a certain community all throughout the book. Though I liked the 'what if....' story, I strongly feel I would not get carried away. There's a learning curve after each book & again through this book I've realised to err is human & apologising, forgiving, forgetting is the key to lead a peaceful life. It's a beautiful book... It's not for people who blindly believe in the epic and get enraged on even discussing the other perspectives. It's for people who would not mind trying to assess the 'what if....' even though fiction. Happy (or Sad 😟) Reading if you are ready for the fictional alternative!!

Another untold story by Kavita Kane!! We generally know the Mythological History of Mahabharata but have we ever ventured in to: ∆ How a particular Character must have felt? ∆ How some decisions have actually led to the so called Kurukshetra War? This book revolves around as the prelude to the epic war. Satyavati : A born Princess, Abandoned, brought up as a Fisher woman, her craving to be a Queen, an epitome of unfaltering Hope & Fortitude, one who defiantly braves odd, THE SEED OF THE FAMOUS EPIC. What disturbed me in this whole book was a touch of negativity in her character. ∆ Shantanu's Guilt ∆ Bhishm's Famous Vow of Celibacy ∆ Amba's Decision was it in any way fault of Satyavati? We need to think twice before judging!! All I could feel about her is SHE WAS AMBITIOUS!! Taking efforts & making compromises to earn dignity from Kali to Queen, taking care of Hastinapur so that legacy is carried on, surviving with every soul around you being judgemental is surely an arduous journey!! On the whole its a beautifully rendered book with a new perception on the passive character in 'The Mahabharata'. You can give a try!!
