This is the worst TV crime drama I've ever seen. Not even worthy of one star! The acting was abysmal - the woman who played Grace gave a performance reminiscent of an Am Dram production of a Shakespearean witch scene! But literally every cast member performed at a laughably dire level. Most I'd never seen before but even the ones I had seen in other dramas performed at a much lower level than usual (apart from the ex-eastenders actress (who played Grace) who''s always been a ham actor). Dialogue was rushed and one dimensional. It almost seemed like the cast were rushing to meet some deadline or other. The whole production was hackneyed and flat. A storyline that had potential was definitely not done justice by this lot! In fact our local Am Dram group would have done a much better job of it.

Brilliant!! Clever, intriguing storylines, convincing period set, and the two lead actors gave outstanding performances. In fact the whole cast are top notch. The writers have created complex and deeply nuanced, very plausible characters. And finally the set designers and film crew have produced an atmospheric, extremely believable portrayal of early 20th century Vienna. This is one of the best crime dramas out there. A must see.
