I saw this 2 or more years ago.Great casting and amazing actors and a good pace is why I got into this show so early; as its got the reality part down. Its also written the way real people would act when faced with the impossible. I enjoyed every episode as much as I did the other Stephen King TV series Castle Rock (ESPECIALLY the second season of that.) Its a shame they did this AGAIN. After 2 seasons--no more Castle Rock, no more Mindhunter & no more Raised by Wolves. At least finish the loose ends. Damn! Like Castle Rock, this was supposed to be an anthology series as well. I have to check that out. But I loved the banality of EVIL twisted by the supernatural, that make it so hard for the realistic characters to believe their lying eyes before they can even work together to try to stop this force from taking down another couple of people. It has the NOT new EVIL done by people who would NEVER DO THAT only this time its just EVIL and man is the weapon. I'm not someone who believes in ghosts or finds them scary but if you see it with your own eyes this may be what it feels like. And THATS terrifying. The actors all bring it in this no weak performances. Rewatchability is good after a year or 3, I bet can still really enjoy it again. It was available on Crave or HBO so maybe you can still find it. I gotta recommend the second season of Castle Rock as well its also got a pretty good mix of supernatural and the just 'crazy people behaviours' that makes it so chilling as a origin story for Annie Wilkes. And I bet you thought we didnt need one! Well I didn't set out to watch the Outsider but man I'm glad I did. So many so-called thrillers are just boring as hell. A glut of the same formulaic haunted/ possessed something or found footage or murder while hiking & central casting by numbers offered by the thousands each year & all think they can make it work.( Or they just wanna make money.) The Outsider really avoids that with realistic characters, dialogue and great pacing & in my case waiting a week to see the next episode so bingeing it would be satisfying . Could have been edited to a couple less episodes. Would have been tighter. But I really enjoyed all the actors doing theor characters so well.
