The Words of My Father is the most beautiful, heartwarming, and heartwrenching autobiography I have read in the longest time. I am so sorry, I won't have anymore pages to turn and pray that Yousef will continue his mission to spread his father's words of peace, now his. I visited Palestine in the summer of 2022, and having engaged in conversations with locals, with soldiers, I know everything Yousef mentions in his book is true. I particularly spent a couple of weeks in Ramallah and visited the Aljazeera bureau where Shireen Abu Akleh had worked.
I can understand the confusion and the animosity Palestinians feel with one another, what Yousef describes in his book. There's so much uncertainty, not just about "tomorrow," but from minute to minute. Palestinians live looking over their shoulders, if you can call that life.
Thank you Yousef!
