I had such high hopes for this book, as I loved Sarah’s other book series. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get into it.
The sentence structure is so poor and I found myself rereading sentences over and over again, trying to gather all the information she is shoveling into one sentence. I can usually read and create a wonderful picture of the story in my mind, but this book had TOO many details packed in so quickly it was honestly hard to keep up. The insane names, places and, over detailed descriptions were too much for me and made it unenjoyable. It’s very rare for me to NOT finish a book, even if I don’t like it.
With that being said, it will sit on the shelf and look sad as hell with a bookmark stuck out, only a chapter in. You’ve been warned.
