One of my favorite video games. While there isnโt much to the game in terms of core gameplay (jump on platforms and explore the town- easy enough) the story, dialogue, and rich lore of Possum Springs will keep the player engaged. Night In The Woods takes a look at serious topics such as mental illness, the stages of early adulthood, the power of nostalgia, and the emptiness we all sometimes feel while also maintaining a wonderful and real sense of humor throughout. Some of us either know someone like Mae, or possibly relate to her, ourselves. Also, the mini games throughout are all pretty fun, particularly the game-within-a-game โDemon Tower,โ (a hack and slash style dungeon crawler) and playing the bass which involves rhythmically pressing buttons, reminiscent of Guitar Hero. There hasnโt been a game that Iโve enjoyed or related to so much in a long time, Iโd definitely recommend it. Also, the soundtrack is amazing, and I know I mentioned the dialogue already- but, wow, it's well written. The characters all come off as pretty relatable and realistic, considering theyโre all 2D cartoon animals. Thatโs all Iโve got. Gregg rulz ok.
