‘The Drama,’ a dark-hearted, cringe-inducing romantic comedy with a sterile sheen premieres this week, courtesy of wannabe provocateur director-writer Kristoffer Borgli and producer Ari Aster. The film follows Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson), a Boston-based couple who are speedily approaching the date of their wedding. The story finds its propulsion when Emma and Charlie are tasting the menu for their wedding alongside another married couple, Mike (Mamoudou Athie) and Rachel (Alana Haim). Conversation turns to how innocuous people are capable of horrible actions, and Rachel encourages everyone to confess the worst thing they’ve ever done.
