From DM request to HYROX NYC partners Two months ago @cantstopfredo0 DM’d me saying it’d be a dream to do a HYROX together. He’d just graduated college, started his own content journey, and instead of waiting around for some perfect moment, he just sent the message. HYROX NYC was Alfred’s first HYROX, my first of the year, and our Pro debut. It was also my 5th of 12 races, all to raise money for men’s mental health. What better way to advocate for it than two guys showing up for each other, pushing one another to lay everything they have on the course. Here’s what I keep coming back to: the people you want in your corner are not going to find you. You have to go find them. Alfred took a swing on a long shot, and now I have the privilege of calling him a friend. Watching how hard he works for what he wants is something I genuinely admire in him. The message you’re scared to send? Send it. Worst case, nothing happens. Best case, everything you want and more. Proud of you, brother.
