The Model Four is a compact floorstanding loudspeaker that, as you might’ve surmised, is designed to fill the gap between the @klh.audio Model Three bookshelf speakers and Model Five floorstanders. It has a shallow cabinet depth and an acoustic suspension design. The combo allows them to be placed close to walls and still sound great.
Each Model Four loudspeaker has a three-way design that borrows features and technologies from all three of KLH’s existing loudspeakers. It features the same 8-inch woofer introduced in Model Three, and pairs that with the same 4-inch midrange driver, 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter and crossover architecture found in the Model Five.
Additionally, its cabinet borrows the same wide baffle of Model Seven, as well as similar depth proportions. In fact, the Model Four has an 8.25-inch cabinet depth, the shallowest of any of its speakers.
