Margaret Kerry, the woman behind Tinker Bell, has passed away at 97. Walt Disney needed someone who could mime, dance, and emote — all without a single word of dialogue. Kerry was filmed performing every one of Tinker Bell's scenes on a studio set, and Disney's animators used that footage to create one of the most iconic characters in history. She also voiced the red-haired mermaid in Peter Pan. And years before either of them knew what was coming, she worked alongside Bobby Driscoll — the voice of Peter Pan — in a 1948 film called If You Knew Susie. The Sam Eagle Bucket is coming to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort this summer as part of Disney's America 250th anniversary celebration. The bucket is limited to two per person per transaction and is available while supplies last. Walt Disney World's date is still TBD. But the bucket isn't the only thing worth knowing about.
