Joni Mitchell didn’t buy into the allure of being a part of the entertainment industry when she first started. 🎤 🎶 She wanted to be a songwriter in every sense of the word, and while she liked the idea of performing for the fans that loved her material, going through the entire rollercoaster of the press could get tiresome for even the most seasoned veterans of the rock and roll scene. Shortcuts with Willie J Healey is now live! 🚐🤘 Ahead of his upcoming EP 143, Willie J Healey hopped in the Far Out Shortcuts van to take a trip to the countryside, the perfect backdrop for the laidback acoustic renditions of songs he brought to the session. His EP’s lead single ‘Ditch’ kicked the set off before flowing into a cover of Scott McMicken’s ‘Odetta’, a song which in another world, could have quite easily fit into the world of Willie. Watch the full live session on our YouTube channel.

Robert Plant didn’t ever want to shortchange his audience whenever they came to see Led Zeppelin perform. 🎤 🎶 He knew the rest of the band were working their asses off to give the audience what they wanted, and he tried his best to put his body into everything he did, whether that was in his posturing or reaching into the depths of his diaphragm to squeeze out every single high note that he possibly could. But even for as big as the band got during their time, Plant knew that there were places that they would have probably not gone to if they had known better. Read more below ⬇️
