One little sweater changed everything for Goofy 🥹 After Lori Carter found the sick, frightened dog outside during a thunderstorm, she spent months patiently earning his trust until she tried putting a sweater on his nearly hairless body. Goofy immediately wagged his tail and followed her around the house for the first time, and four years after she adopted him, he's a playful 40-pound lapdog who still refuses to give up his beloved sweaters.

A scary fall ended with a safe reunion 💚 Firefighters in Marion County, Florida, came to the rescue after a small dog fell into a sinkhole in the front yard of a home. Crews carefully navigated an opening about 4 feet wide and several feet deep to reach the trapped pup. A short time after the call came in, the dog was safely out of the hole and reunited with his owner, with no injuries reported.

A strange shadow on the skylight turned into an entire family 🐱 After discovering a mama cat and five kittens on their roof, the Jackson family brought them to safety and repeatedly helped when the adventurous babies got lost or stuck. Two kittens eventually found homes, while Mama and the remaining three stayed with the Jacksons, bringing them comfort after they said goodbye to both of their beloved senior dogs.

It was the best $20 he'd ever spent 🐶 After junk remover Mike Conley spotted a puppy limping alone in a yard, someone claiming to own the dog offered to let him take the pup for $20. Conley contacted animal control and got the puppy to safety, and he's now recovering from his injured leg in a medical foster home.

The strange noise coming from the trunk was very, very real 🐐 Police in Kansas City, Missouri, recovered a stolen vehicle and made an unexpected discovery: two baby goats in the trunk. Officers first noticed the animals after hearing what sounded like a goat ringtone — only to learn the noises were coming from two real goats. Animal welfare experts took in the goats, now named Denver and Aspen, and found they were underweight, still needed bottle feeding, and were battling intestinal parasites. The pair is now being adopted by the same foster family that was caring for them.
