I went into season 5 with low expectations since Nicola Walker, who is one of my faves, left the show last season. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well her leaving has been included in this season and Sinead Keenan is a brilliant replacement. This is a testament not only to the phenomenal cast but to the writers and their seamless flow from a devastating ending in season 4 to the melancholy that is season 5.
