AN UNSUCCESSFUL REMAKE ATTEMPT OF THE OG (96) 😔 : As it is known that this movie is a remake of the masterpiece 96, unfortunately this is nowhere close to the original one! Those who haven't watched 96 may like this movie but I would suggest everyone to please watch 96 rather than watching this and coming to a conclusion! I'm not a person who observes every minor details in the movie but this movie lacks behind in many such aspects! I've said the same thing in the review of the 96 movie too. I got to know about 96 after watching this movie and just for my curiosity I watched the original one and I was so sad to see that this movie does not even make it anywhere close to the original one. No offence, I'm not supporting any particular industry or langauge. As an audien to connect to the movie it's the responsibility of the actors and directors to keep us engaged! This movie failed to do so! As we all know Ganesh is famous for such heartbreaking lover boy roles, yet when compared to Vijay Sethupathi's performance he is not up to the mark. And I'm very sorry to say this but the lead actress Bhavana's performance is no where close to Trisha's performance 😭 She just nailed it in 96❤️. You can literally find that the dubbed dialogues do not sync with the lip movement of the actress! Even the expressions doesn't seem real! There are many such things if I continue. All together the movie is nice the story is nice. It's just that the remake version lacks behind in acting and emotions and engaging the audience. So i would suggest everyone to watch the OG 96!

Disclaimer : You may get addicted! I don't want to elaborate about the plot or the performances of the actor and the actress. Everyone has already done it in the review section. I just want to say that this movie is only for strong hearted old school people! Beware you might get addicted to this movie 🥺! I've already watched it several times. I've also watched the remake versions of this movie in kannada and Telugu and compared it to an extent where both the remakes doesn't even make it close to the original one! This is truly a masterpiece and it always will be! I've become so addicted that I've even watched the deleted scenes and director Premkumar's interview in YouTube where he gives still more details about the movie that some might fail to observe! Posting this review on 29/03/2023. Almost 5 years after the release. Since I wasn't a follower of movies at the time when it was released, I got to know about this movie by my friend and I'm so thankful to him that I got to know about such a gem 🥺 I will always regret not watching this on big screens but this will always be my favourite❤️
