Such a disappointment. It would take too long to list all the ways this was an utter letdown, embarrassing even. Initially I thought this was going to be a nice slow burn, but no. It was a waste of talented actors. Predictable, boring, anticlimactic. They literally lost the plot. I really don’t understand because other projects by this director have been great. There is nothing interesting about any of the characters. The girlfriend (?) has not even 5 minutes on-screen, yet her (implied) sexual assault and battery seems to be the device by which our protagonist goes on a multi-city revenge mission. When is that tired trope - and not giving women screen time - ever going to go away? The only thing I’m curious about is why they chose to use so many Smiths songs. This movie was a killer after all and maybe it’s all one big inside joke? The endless, pointless, boring talking certainly killed 2 hours viewers will never get back. Save your time for something better and just watch the trailer. It’s better than the movie.
