Karate Kid Legends delivers where the previous installment with Jayden Smith failed. Actually tries to feature karate. The cast are quite good, Joshua Jackson putting in a good performance. Probably wasn't a need for Ralph Macchio's involvement but I get how they wanted to bring the franchises together and follow up the success of Cobra Kai. Entertaining watch that won't leave you disappointed.

First film where I have seen Bren Foster take the lead role. I've been following him on Social Media for a while now due to being a martial arts enthusiast and was not disappointed with this film. Watched this with my son who also loves martial arts and wife who hates violence so had mixed feelings of what it would be like and how it would be received especially given the IMBD rating of 5.1. Everyone loved it. The fight scenes were amazing but the good thing was they didn't just fit around a flimsy plot. The storyline was good too and kept you engaged with the movie. You routed for Foster the protagonist and despised the villans. Foster also acted very well, something a lot of martial arts actors can't carry off. Definitely worth a watch even if you're not a martial arts fan.

Just watched this and if definitely wasn't what I was expecting and not in a good way. I think the makers have relied on big name Zendaya bringing in the audiences. The constant back and forward through time periods can be confusing. Each scene seems slow and laborious. When interjecting to the big tennis match at the end which the makers must have thought was the exciting, gripping part of the film I found myself becoming increasingly bored and eventually disinterested in what actually happened. Yes this may be one of those movies which is more about the lessons of life but the lessons aren't good ones. If you're expecting an exciting sports movie then don't watch as you will sorely be disappointed.

Just watched this film. Very surprised, for an afternoon terrestrial showing, how good this movie actually is. Seen a few movies with a similar plot but this one had me on the edge of my seat. Gwyneth plays her part so well and is what makes this film. Lang is also so convincing as the evil mother in law. Definitely worth a watch.

This film is not bad and is watchable. So the storyline revolves around aliens on earth abducting humans in order to return to their home. So the story, martial arts and actors aren't bad I think it is more how the movie has been directed that could have been better. Compared the movie Ju-jitsu this is 100 times better

Been visiting the Jaws franchise lately. The original is by far a classic and second is a worthy sequel. Infact I have often wondered whether in this day and age Chief Brody would have had a successful civil claim for wrongful dismissal. The revenge plot is very far fetched. The death of Sean having so many plot holes. How did the shark set the ambush. What if a different deputy went out to move the wood? Would Jaws have left him and then waited patiently for another chance to kill Sean. What if they just didn't move the wood, it was Christmas after all. Luckily Michael Brody has a career which puts him right in the firing line of being a victim of a shark attack. At least Jaws 3 made Sean terrified of the water which was understandable. However the film is watchable despite not being a classic.

Saw this movie when it first came out and loved it then. Over the years it has been really forgotten about. My son is starting to get into his boxing so watched this with him the other day. He loved it too. Said it was a great movie. The film isn't overly long but keeps you entertained. Definitely worth a watch it won't disappoint.

One of the best films of 2021 if not the best. Like Ghostbusters Afterlife the film gets the nostalgia balance perfectly right. Both films did an amazing job of keeping the storyline tight until its release. This is where other films have failed. Not going to give too much away but you feel good coming out the cinema after this film. Excellent job of getting so many big names in this film working together. BTW stay till the end of the credits.

This is a nearly film which doesn't seem to deliver. Lots of themes they could have built on and made better or scarier but never seems to follow through. Disappointing.

Grew up in the era of these films being released and had started training in Karate prior to the first one coming out. As most would agree the Daniel character can be a bit annoying and by the time this installment comes round most people were sick of Daniel. The film seems a reboot of number one without the love story but with numerous plot holes. I remember going to the pictures to see this so it must have been a PG in the UK but there is a lot of unnecessary foul language and racial comments that really sink this movie to greater depths. Completely unbelievable and I'm scratching my head as to how old Daniel is. U18 Karate competition must allow if you're also 18. The bad guy hired hand Mike Barnes looks about 25. Worst one out of the 3 but hey Daniel wins in the unbelievable final so all is good with the world.
