Let me preface my review with the fact that I am an avid reader and audible book listener who enjoys many book genres. I found myself underwhelmed with this book. Initially I was excited about its premise and looked forward to reading it. However, shortly into the book I found the characters to be flat and the narrative mundane. Normally, a storyline this compelling would pull in the reader, bonding them to the characters trials and challenges. Sadly, this book failed in this regard for me. Also, I believe more expressive, emotive narrators would have improved my audible book experience.
