The movie had its moments, but there were a few aspects that held it back from being truly exceptional.
Let's start with the positives. The visual effects in "Leo" were quite decent. There were some visually captivating scenes that showcased the filmmakers' effort in creating a visually engaging world. The CGI and special effects added an extra layer of excitement to the film, and for that, the team deserves credit.
However, the storyline was where "Leo" fell short. It followed a rather cliche plot, and at times, it felt like I had seen this story unfold in numerous other movies before. The predictability of the narrative made it difficult to become fully immersed in the film. It would have been refreshing to see a more innovative and unique approach to the storytelling. Also it's connected to LCU and audience that haven't watched other movies of LCU will feel confused at times.
Moreover, the tension in the movie felt superficial. While there were moments of suspense and excitement, they often lacked the depth and emotional investment needed to truly engage the audience. There's not much characters' development and the build-up of suspense could have been executed more effectively to make the viewer genuinely care about the outcome. There was one breaking bad-like plot twist(datura) was cool though it felt half baked.
