A waste of good talent. Poor plodding script & directing. Disservice to the very important topic of mental health struggles in teenagers.

I wanted to feel. I wanted to connect. The film didn’t let me in. I was detached. The relationship between the two main characters left me yearning for a deeper connection & understanding. The material didn’t allow it and the chemistry just wasn’t there. So much was left unexplored. Olivia’s performance was top notch as always but existed in a vacuum. The staff’s camaraderie was lovely & believable. The actor who portrayed the projectionist was outstanding as was the photography and sets. Watchable….but I kept hoping for more. Was it the directing? Script? Not sure. Disappointing.

A very poorly written meandering waste of time & great acting talent. Naomi Watts is trying so hard to make it work that it is painful to watch. Almost every adult character speaks with the same voice. Ridiculous plot. What started out with promise quickly devolved into implausible nonsense.

Jamie Dorian’s acting more than made up for the production flaws. He was amazing! The last episode really meandered. Compelling, but in serious need of tighter editing.

Poorly written, casted, acted & directed. So surprised that Toni Collette was involved in this very sub-par production.
