The anima grind is obnoxious. Everything seems tuned to take as long as possible. Engagement metrics are cancerous, and have driven the entire design of this expansion. Problem being that it's not content anyone feels is compelling enough to actually enjoy.
Mythic+ is Blizzard's new crusade and intended gearing path this season; unfortunately it's just not fun, especially when MDI means that players now expect competitive-level strategies in dungeons, and are extremely intolerant of anyone without the required meta-knowledge.
Old raids are broken by the scaling, so casual transmog farming is out; many levelling dungeons, particularly the Cataclysm expansion dungeons, are poorly tuned for scaling, and often have broken mechanics that make them impossible. Blizzard's legendary polish is simply missing.
