NO SPOILER REVIEW Holy Hell. I just started this show, only on Season Two so far, but this is easily the best true Horror television show I have ever seen. Firstly, I am a horror fanatic, been watching horror movies since I was far too young to. From Dr Giggles to Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I love any piece of horror cinema. This show is insane, it's like seasons worth of horror movies, perfectly executed without dragging itself out. I will say that some of the acting is a little shoddy at first, and I think some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy and forced, but regardless of that this show is insanely good. Without spoiling any plot, this is about a town that is pure nightmare fuel. I don't want to say anything more, as I think it is best to go in blind, but I was invested from the first episode and have been on the edge of my seat since then too. Might have even fallen off that seat a few times. From is an expert at making the viewer feel exactly how they want them to feel, aka deeply unsettled. The story is solid, the plot is engaging, and the horror genuinely scares. I love horror shows that delve into deep psychological issues, like Bly Manor or Hill House, but this isn't that show. It has symbolism, for sure, but at its core is just frightening. It's unlike any horror show I have ever seen and I absolutely adore it. If you are thinking of watching it, don't spoil yourself, just go in blind, and enjoy the fright that is From. Easily my favorite show now. PS: Donna supremacy. We love her.
