This is a movie that everyone can appreciate. I went to the theater on opening night with my 12-year-old son who is a die-hard FNAF fan, and his 68-year-old grandmother and we all enjoyed the movie and are planning to see the sequel. The movie theater was full of fans of the franchise excited by the amazing animatronics, wonderful set design, and the easter eggs throughout the film that kept everyone on the edge of their seats with excitement for what was to come next. This movie was made for the fans, and you could tell that sitting in a theater full of them how much they loved every surprise throughout the film. No, itโs not a gory horror film but it doesnโt have to be gory, it shows just enough to leave the perfect amount to your imagination.
The negative reviews seem to all be related to people complaining about the film not being gory enough. They wanted more gruesome savage animatronics that were just killing everyone. Unfortunately, this movie is deeper than that and has a good story line with a lot of love and respect for the FNAF franchise.
