Compare it to the original or not, it's a 21st century dramatisation of a typical 80s sitcom... and I absolutely love it. Every character has their own arch, character development leaves you wanting more. Tou feel the strength of each performance and the internal struggles of each character played well by each actor. Makes me think what other shows they could evolve and adapt. TV networks are really going for it these past few years.
