Let's understand that reviews of movie like Emergency may be influenced by political, religious or social bias. Mine is not. I was disappointed to see just 10 people in a screen of 400 on first Sunday afternoon. Thankfully the hall filled by a quarter by the time movie started and interestingly most were young people. I go by the notion that youth are the future of our country. So it was a good feeling. First thing first - if you are a serious viewer then the movie grips you all 2 hrs+. I never felt dull, bored or disinterested. Portrayal of Indira Gandhi's emotions were superb, whether her silent inner cries or subtle murmurs or shaking feeble voice. Once again the cinema has proven the power of silent communication. We begin to appreciate how difficult it was for a women to lead a large developing country in the face of male dominated political world. The best part of movie is that it shows how lonely it is at the top. Support of people (like Sanjay Gandhi) comes at a cost. Also it depicts the ambitions, selfishness, helplessness and frustration of politicians of all hues. The producer has done a good job in packaging as much as possible in limited time. Brilliant acting by Kangana.
