From the perspective of a local, I agree with David Aronovsky on most points; the story line and dialouges are a bit hammy and stiff ( and what about the accents :-0!!) but nevertheless, much of it is fairly accurate. Not sure who came up with injecting a snow capped mountain range outside of Uppsala where highest mountains are the viking burial mounds, and the temperate rain forest must have been on Vacouner Island, but still..pretty inventive..not so much the new viking ships, the surf boards?! hilarious...
