I’ve never walked out of a movie theatre part way through a movie before, but I did tonight. After 45 minutes of derivative, repeated nonsense and flashbacks I’d had enough. Simon Pegg is the most unconvincing and irritating character in every movie he has been in. Tom struggles for credibility and doesn’t seem to know if he is making a joke about himself or taking it seriously. I don’t know how much this movie cost to make, but honestly there are video game trailers with more convincing plot lines. CGI was clumsy. Luther plot line unattached and cliche. Pull the plug for gods sake. Please. Like Cruise trying to play Reacher, this is outside his limits now. It almost as if he is begging to be believable. Terrible.
